Rasha Obaid Art

Sculptor and stone carver

Biography and Background

I am a figurative artist originally from the village of Tarim in hadhramaut yemen currently living as a refugee in south London. The main mediums I use are stone and clay. I also use wax, charcoal, watercolour and oil paint. I am interested in the creation and restoration artwork in public spaces that reflects the narratives and identities of the local communities.

Prior to devoting myself to art full time, I worked in the public sector in connection with women and girls rights.
